Basketball Recap: Conneaut Area Extends Winning Streak to Three

Conneaut Area entered their tilt with Franklin on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 74-67 victory over the Franklin Knights. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

When it comes to explaining why Franklin lost, don't look at Will Findlan. Despite the final result, he posted 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Higley, who earned 15 points.

Conneaut Area is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conneaut Area will host Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Conneaut Area is facing Seneca at the right time seeing as Seneca is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Franklin, they will challenge Warren at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
