Softball Recap: Los Fresnos Comes Up Short

Los Fresnos was the 11-2 winner over Lyford when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Los Fresnos Falcons came up short against the Lyford Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 13-4. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alexis Perez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Leslie Cantu also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Los Fresnos' defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Lyford, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Coming up, Los Fresnos will take on Corpus Christi Moody at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lyford, they will face off against Ray at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
