Soccer Game Preview: Aldine vs. MacArthur

The Aldine Mustangs will take on the MacArthur Generals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Wednesday, Aldine didn't have quite enough to beat Dekaney and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Wildcats are ranked 96th).

Meanwhile, MacArthur had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Eagles.

MacArthur's win bumped their record up to 5-1-1. As for Aldine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Aldine came up short against MacArthur in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Aldine avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
