With a playoff game on the line, Leeds rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Russellville Golden Tigers. Winning may never get old, but Leeds sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Nolan Moore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Graham Gulock was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Leeds' victory bumped their record up to 20-16. As for Russellville, their loss dropped their record down to 27-11.
