A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions take on the Cougars at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Last Wednesday, Lutheran took a blow against Air Academy, falling 64-36. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Kadets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Despite their defeat, Lutheran saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Berkley Schneider, who on her way to 13 points and six boards, was perhaps the best of all. Schneider has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mikaela-Zoe Colon, who en route to 11 points and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Evergreen waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 60-19 win over the Lobos. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cougars had established a 35 point advantage.
Evergreen's win came from a few key players Lutheran will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Elle Buenning, who to rack up 18 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. She has become a key player for Evergreen: the team is 5-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 6-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie McEvers, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Evergreen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Evergreen's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points over those games. As for Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lutheran has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Evergreen struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.6 rebounds.
