Preview: Northwest Area Rangers vs. Bucktail Bucks
The Northwest Area Rangers will head out on the road to face off against the Bucktail Bucks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Area is hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Northwest Area was the victim of a rough 46-22 defeat at the hands of South Williamsport. Northwest Area was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-0.
Despite the loss, Northwest Area had strong showings from Andrew Bonczewski, who picked up 90 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Jace Mccoy, who threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Bucktail had to suffer through a rough 48-20 loss at the hands of Coudersport. Bucktail has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped Northwest Area to 2-8 and Bucktail to 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Northwest Area against Bucktail in their previous meeting back in September of 2020 as the squad secured a 42-6 victory. Will Northwest Area repeat their success, or does Bucktail have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
