Baseball Recap: Trinity Victorious

Trinity hadn't done well against Chartiers Valley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Trinity skirted past Chartiers Valley 6-5. For the Hillers, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 win the Colts walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Jackson Burt looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Matthew Robaugh was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

The victory got Trinity back to even at 1-1. As for Chartiers Valley, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Trinity will have a chance to go back-to-back against Chartiers Valley: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
