The Mary G. Montgomery Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Theodore Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mary G. Montgomery has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three contests.

Mary G. Montgomery took a 28-point defeat the last time they faced off against Daphne, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Vikings narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Trojans 71-69. The score was all tied up 33-33 at the break, but the Vikings were the better team in the second half.

DeAndre Rankin had an outrageously good game as he posted 24 points. Jaxon Collins was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 77-40, which was the final score in Theodore's tilt against Davidson on Friday. The game marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Mary G. Montgomery pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Theodore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Mary G. Montgomery didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Theodore in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 79-73 win.
