Football Recap: Davenport Falls to Weleetka in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Davenport had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Weleetka Outlaws on Friday, falling 48-14. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Outlaws recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Although Davenport took the loss, they still got scores from Aydan Stancell and Ivan Morris.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Weleetka to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryant Sites, who picked up 180 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also rushed for 60 yards and one TD. Another passer making a difference was Isaiah Drake, who threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt.

Weleetka's record is now 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davenport will host Wetumka at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Weleetka, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dewar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
