Basketball Recap: Iovine and Young Center Comes Up Short

Iovine and Young Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 73-16 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions.

Adam Hernandez was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 14 on his way to 26 points in addition to seven assists and seven steals for Los Angeles Leadership Academy. The dominant performance gave Hernandez a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Rafael Santamaria, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards.

Iovine and Young Center's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Iovine and Young Center will look to defend their home court on Friday against East College Prep at 4:30 p.m. As for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-36 defeat against Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus on the 12th.
