Northville entered their tilt with Plymouth on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 49-45 W against the Plymouth Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 39-22 back in January.
Northville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Sivier, who went 6-for-15 to rack up 15 points along with six boards and four steals. Sivier has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sophia Fraas, who posted 11 points and three steals.
Northville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Izzy Krause, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Dicken, who scored 15 points and five assists.
Northville's record now sits at 13-6. As for Plymouth, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
Coming up, Northville will face off against Novi at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Novi has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Plymouth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
