Football Recap: Shadow Creek Skates Past Pasadena Memorial with Ease

Shadow Creek won the last time they faced Pasadena Memorial and things went their way on Friday too. The Sharks simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mavericks 52-14. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-7.

Shadow Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tavis Coleman led the charge by throwing for 279 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 12.7 yards per attempt. Thanks to that big game, Coleman is now up to 23 passing touchdowns on the season. Jacier Pace helped Coleman out on the ground, rushing for 98 yards and one score on only seven carries, while also picking up 70 receiving yards and one TD.

The win made it two in a row for Shadow Creek and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.5 points over those games. As for Pasadena Memorial, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coincidentally, Shadow Creek and Pasadena Memorial will both be playing Pearland the next time they take the field. The Mavericks will host the Oilers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Sharks will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
