Highlands Christian and Berean Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but likely not for long. The Knights will welcome the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights blew past the Blazers 23-8. That looming 23-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Meanwhile, Berean Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of Port St. Lucie. Even if the Bulldogs couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Julianne Severson and Lillian Severson did some serious damage despite the final result: Julianne got on base in five of her six plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Lillian scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5. That triple marked the first that Julianne hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Britton, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.

Highlands Christian's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9. As for Berean Christian, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
