Softball Recap: Bowie Pirates vs. Liberty-Eylau Leopards
The third road matchup was the charm for Bowie, as they earned their first road win of the season. They were the clear victor by a 20-1 margin over the Liberty-Eylau Leopards on Tuesday. With that win, the Pirates brought their scoring average up to 8 runs per game.
Alleyah Franco made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Annzle Holt was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Alyson Dodson was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
Bowie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty-Eylau only posted an OBP of .182.
