Basketball Recap: Emma Murray and Olivia Wise Secure Win for Columbus Christian + How To Watch

Columbus Christian lost to Southwestern back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Crusaders strolled past the Spartans with points to spare, taking the game 38-22.

Leading Columbus Christian to victory were Olivia Wise and Emma Murray. Wise posted ten points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Murray dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards. Murray has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Despite the loss, Southwestern still got an impressive performance from Claire Utley, who scored six points and three steals.

Columbus Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Southwestern, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus Christian is headed away from home for the first time to square off against South Decatur at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southwestern, they will head out to face off against Oldenburg Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
