Adding to the longest winning streak in Mid-Indiana this week, Western beat Northwestern 30-14,. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Panthers.
Taylor lost to Peru 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Hamilton Heights's dynamic duo of Monte Reed and Grant Weatherford proved tough for Cass to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Reed threw for 302 yards and 3 touchdowns and Weatherford had 178 yards receiving. Kellan Hughes helped Hamilton Heights' passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 102 yards.
The Huskies' dynamic duo of Reed and Weatherford proved to be unstoppable against the Kings, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Reed put up the best numbers in passing as Hamilton Heights bested Cass.
He was 13-20 with 1 interceptions.
Weatherford was the best wideout in the league this week as Mitch Street's team beat Scott Mannering's team.
Cody Hicks was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 175 yards on 17 carries as Maconaquah defeated the Kings. Jarred Spohn also contributed to the rushing game with 54 yards on the ground.
Hamilton Heights' Reed and Weatherford have formed a dream team this season, leading Mid-Indiana in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Reed has thrown for 837 yards this season, while Weatherford has 21 catches for 550 yards. The Braves' Hicks leads the league in rushing yards with 512.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Western takes on Maconaquah. Nate Andrews' team is in first place, while Mark Hartman's team is in fifth place.
The Tigers led the league in scoring this week by notching 47 points on the Titans. Kegan Kern ran for 124 yards in the win.
