On Thursday, Pope Francis Prep faced Holyoke in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Pope Francis Prep Cardinals had just enough and edged the Holyoke Purple Knights out 77-74. The victory was just business as usual for the Cardinals, who after nine games remain undefeated this season.

Aiden Cabrera and Jordan King-Perilli certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Cabrera dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds, while King-Perilli went 10 for 13 en route to 22 points and three steals. Cabrera has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. Cameron Tejada also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Pope Francis Prep's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Holyoke, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-1.
