Softball Game Preview: East Juniata Tigers vs. Halifax Wildcats

The East Juniata Tigers will head out to face off against the Halifax Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

East Juniata fell victim to Susquenita and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Blackhawks, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Halifax). They blew past Greenwood 21-6 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Halifax's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-3. As for East Juniata, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

East Juniata took their victory against Halifax in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-2. Will East Juniata repeat their success, or does Halifax has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
