While Winfield's victory against Carbon Hill wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Bulldogs on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted against the Bulldogs since October 13, 2020.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Winfield who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 7-25, 25-18, 26-28, 15-13.
