Volleyball Recap: Tanner Tumblin Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat James F. Byrnes + How To Watch

Riverside lost to James F. Byrnes back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Riverside walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-21.

Riverside's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Tumblin, who had 15 kills, three blocks, and two aces. Tumblin is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had six or more in each of the last 15 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ignacio Miguez, who had 33 assists.

Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for James F. Byrnes, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Coming up, Riverside will welcome Greenville H at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for James F. Byrnes, they will square off against Fort Dorchester at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
