Basketball Recap: Madison Extends Winning Streak to Five

Madison won against Jefferson Area last Wednesday with 60 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Madison Blue Streaks put the hurt on the Mayfield Wildcats with a sharp 60-40 victory. The Blue Streaks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

The win (which was Madison's fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.2 points. As for Mayfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Madison will head out to take on Harvey at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Madison knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Harvey likes a good challenge. Mayfield has already played their next game (against North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
