Volleyball Recap: Mission Vista Falls Short of Scripps Ranch in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mission Vista can now relate to. They fell just short of the Scripps Ranch Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Scripps Ranch this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Mission Vista wouldn't go down easily and took Scripps Ranch into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-13, 25-17, 23-25, 15-12.

Maya Hopkins paced Mission Vista's offense, picking up 18 kills. Hopkins got some help from Morgan Duse-Anthony and her 34 assists.

Mission Vista moved to 26-11 with that defeat, which also ended their six-match winning streak. As for Scripps Ranch, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-15 record this season.

Mission Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Taft on the 11th. As for Scripps Ranch, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Carlsbad on the 7th.
