Volleyball Recap: Swanton Bulldogs vs. Northview Wildcats

If Swanton was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Northwest Ohio Classical Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northview Wildcats on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 15-25, 25-21.

Northview can attribute much of their success to Johnny Krolak, who had 14 digs and five aces. Krolak is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games he's played. Chase Szymanski also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Swanton's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Northview, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Swanton is taking a road trip to face off against Perrysburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northview, they will be playing at home against Springfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
