Madisonville-North Hopkins had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Markezz Hightower did his part to make it six on Friday. The Maroons blew past the Hopkinsville Tigers 42-19 thanks in part to Hightower, who rushed for 231 yards and four scores while picking up 12.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

Madisonville-North Hopkins' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Hopkinsville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
