Volleyball Recap: Barrington Comes Up Short

Barrington's tournament run continued when they took on Metairie Park Country Day on Saturday. The Fillies/Broncos fell just short of the Cajuns by a score of 2-1.

Kalyn Brookbank paced Barrington's offense, picking up 23 kills. Brookbank got some help from Eve Adler and her 29 assists. Lexi Szlezak controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Barrington has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. As for Metairie Park Country Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Barrington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Sandburg on the 4th. As for Metairie Park Country Day, they will face off against McGehee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Cajuns their first taste of in-conference action this season.
