While Oxford Prep put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Eno River Academy. Oxford Prep was the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Eno River Academy. The win continues a trend for the Griffins in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won seven in a row.

Tanner Abbott was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Bryson Preddy was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Davis Faulkner also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Oxford Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.

Oxford Prep's record now sits at 6-2. As for Eno River Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Oxford Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against River Mill on the 27th. As for Eno River Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oxford Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
