Softball Recap: Marshwood Triumphs

Marshwood's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Noble Knights. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Keira Keaveny and Dorthy Ryan did most of the damage at the plate: Keaveny got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Ryan went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Keaveny is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Marshwood's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Noble, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Marshwood is set to square off against their familiar foe Scarborough at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Noble will take on rival Biddeford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
