Softball Recap: West Central Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

West Central won against Knox on Friday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Trojans didn't even let the Argos Dragons on the board, marking the Trojans' second-straight 3-0 shutout. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Jalie Glasford's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kailee Bishop was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

West Central's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Argos, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Central will venture away from home to take on Pioneer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Argos, they are taking a road trip to face off against Culver Academies at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
