Volleyball Recap: Thornridge Takes a Loss

Thornridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Crete-Monee Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in April.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21.

Among those leading the charge was Jed Zaldarriaga, who had ten digs and two aces. That's the most digs he has posted over his last four games.

Thornridge's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Crete-Monee, they moved to 8-18 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Thornridge has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Bloom on the 20th. As for Crete-Monee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Kankakee on the 20th.
