Football Game Preview: Port Allegany Gators vs. Greenville Trojans

The Port Allegany Gators are taking a road trip to challenge the Greenville Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Port Allegany comes in on 12 and Greenville on 11.

Port Allegany is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 41-19 margin over Redbank Valley. With the Gators ahead 21-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Greenville hadn't done well against Wilmington recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Trojans skirted past the Greyhounds 25-22. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since November 9, 2024.

Greenville's win came from a few key players Port Allegany will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cael Thurber, who rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 156 yards on 11 of 17 attempts. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September. Rudy Gentile was another key player, rushing for 41 yards and a pair of TDs.

Port Allegany's record is now 12-0. As for Greenville, their record now sits at 11-1.
