Baseball Recap: Cimarron Comes Up Short

Cimarron suffered their biggest loss since May 2, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Raton Tigers, falling 15-5. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cimarron saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zayden Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Cimarron's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Raton, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cimarron will face off against Clayton at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Raton, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Estancia at 3:00 p.m. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.5 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
