Volleyball Recap: Kent-Meridian Takes a Loss

Kent-Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Federal Way Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Kent-Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Federal Way, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Kent-Meridian and Federal Way could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Royals will challenge Decatur at 7:15 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (249 vs. 117). Meanwhile, Federal Way (ranked 178th) will meet Puyallup (ranked 27th) at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
