Baseball Recap: Leedey Sets Scoring Season-High Against Arnett

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Leedey). They never let the Arnett Wildcats get on the board and left with a 19-0 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Bison, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Janne Thoroee, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

Leedey kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Leedey and bumps their season record up to 5-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Arnett, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Leedey will take on Hammon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Arnett, they are taking a road trip to square off against Sweetwater at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
