Preview: Bryan County Redskins vs. Claxton Tigers
Bryan County has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Claxton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Saturday, things could have been worse for Bryan County, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-41 loss to Tattnall County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bryan County has scored all season.
Claxton suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against Screven County, falling 69-29. While losing is never fun, Claxton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while Screven County is ranked 204th).
Bryan County's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3. As for Claxton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which lines up perfectly with their 4-12 record this season.
Bryan County took their victory against Claxton in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 60-40. Does Bryan County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Claxton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
