Softball Recap: Trumann Wildcats vs. Cross County Thunderbirds

Trumann lost to Cross County back in April of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Trumann Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cross County Thunderbirds and snuck past 8-6.

The team relied heavily on Macey Powell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Dalaney Osment, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Trumann's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Cross County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Trumann will head out on the road to square off against Forrest City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cross County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Palestine-Wheatley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
