Volleyball Recap: Deer Valley Comes Up Short

Deer Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Linden Lions. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Paris Williams paced Deer Valley's offense, picking up eight kills. Williams got some help from Gabriella Duarte and her 11 assists. Mikaila Balingit controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Deer Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Linden, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Deer Valley has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Aspire Langston Hughes Academy on the 11th. As for Linden, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Vintage on the 11th.
