Soccer Recap: Griffith Comes Up Short

Griffith was the 1-0 winner over Portage when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.

Diego Moyo wasn't going to let Portage walk away unscathed as he scored both of Griffith's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Griffith's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Portage, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Griffith will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on River Forest at 5:30 p.m. on the 9th. As for Portage, they will square off against Crown Point at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
