Basketball Recap: Reedy Takes a Loss

Reedy was the 47-45 winner over The Colony when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Reedy Lions took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Colony Cougars. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Cougars are ranked 352nd).

Reedy has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 19-12 record this season. As for The Colony, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reedy will challenge Lone Star at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for The Colony, they will take on Newman Smith at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colony is facing Newman Smith at the right time seeing as Newman Smith is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
