Sandy Creek was the victim of a tough 31-7 loss at the hands of Cedar Grove on Friday. Sandy Creek was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Dalen Penson threw for 54 yards and a touchdown. Rich Vanzant was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Amari Latimer rushed for 46 yards.
Sandy Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Cedar Grove, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
