Softball Recap: Castilleja Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Castilleja's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Mercy Bears on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-5 back in April.

Castilleja's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Mercy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-12.

Castilleja didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-2 defeat against South San Francisco on the 9th. As for Mercy, they will venture away from home to face off against Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bears are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
