Basketball Recap: Pine Bluff Comes Up Short

Pine Bluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 74-57 bruising from the Westminster Academy Lions.

Leading Westminster Academy to victory were Alex Constanza and Alexander Lloyd. Constanza dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards, while Lloyd went 10 of 22 on his way to 28 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Constanza has scored at least a third of Westminster Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dwight Gaines Jr., who posted five points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Pine Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Westminster Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

Pine Bluff will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on White Hall at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Westminster Academy, they will welcome Southeastern Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
