Softball Recap: Hampton Bays Comes Up Short

Hampton Bays lost against Kings Park back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Hampton Bays lost 15-6 to Kings Park.

Louise Brumagin led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Lillyann Maffia, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Even though they lost, Hampton Bays was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Hampton Bays' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hampton Bays will square off against rival Shoreham-Wading River at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kings Park is set to challenge their familiar foe Hampton Bays at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th.
