Scotts Hill has gone a perfect 10-0 against Madison recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Lions will square off against the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

South Gibson hit Scotts Hill with a five-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions came up short against the Hornets, falling 11-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost nine in a row.

Scotts Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Crider, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Union City. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since March 21st.

Garrett Clark spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered six runs (all of which were unearned) on ten hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Dylan Stranak was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Madison's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 6-3 (and 6-7-1 when he doesn't).

Scotts Hill's record now sits at 6-14-1. As for Madison, their record is now 12-10-1.

Everything went Scotts Hill's way against Madison in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Scotts Hill made off with a 7-1 victory. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
