Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boyd-Buchanan). They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the McMinn County Cherokees on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Buccaneers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Boyd-Buchanan pushed their record up to 11-10-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for McMinn County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-14.

Boyd-Buchanan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-5 win against Baylor on the 22nd. As for McMinn County, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hardin Valley Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
