Basketball Recap: New Hanover Comes Up Short

If New Hanover was feeling good fresh off their 85-50 takedown of Harrells Christian Academy on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats took a hard 80-66 fall against the Chambers Cougars on Saturday.

New Hanover's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chambers, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. New Hanover is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Jack Britt at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chambers, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Hickory Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Ragin' Bulls have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
