Basketball Recap: Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks vs. Summit Christian Academy Eagles
The Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Summit Christian Academy on the road and fell 92-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pleasant Hill has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Summit Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mike Thomas iii, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 20 rebounds. Carter Jeffries was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with two steals.
Pleasant Hill has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Summit Christian Academy, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.
Pleasant Hill will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Center presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Roosters/Chicks in Missouri (the Yellowjackets are ranked 202nd, while the Roosters/Chicks are ranked 455th). As for Summit Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Gryphons at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. University Academy Charter is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
