Baseball Recap: Eastern Victorious

Eastern had won three straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped up to 6-1 to make it four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Tipton Blue Devils. The Comets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Eastern got a massive performance out of Owen Tolle, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Tolle has posted since back in May of 2025. Cody Tarrh was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

As for Tipton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.

On Tipton's side, Piercen Nasser and Keaton Dominguez did some serious damage despite the final result: Nasser went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double, while Dominguez went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That double was Nasser's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jacoby DeFoe, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Eastern didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-5 victory against Northfield on the 18th. As for Tipton, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-6 defeat against Frankton on the 20th.
