Soccer Game Preview: North Little Rock vs. Bryant

The North Little Rock Charging Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Bryant Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Little Rock's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

North Little Rock was handed a three-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Central a 1-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Bryant came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Panthers. Bryant's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Bryant pushed their record up to 8-3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for North Little Rock, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

North Little Rock might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Bryant when the teams last played back in March. Can the Charging Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
