Basketball Recap: Central Jersey College Prep Comes Up Short

Central Jersey College Prep lost against College Achieve Central back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Central Jersey College Prep were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 48-47 to College Achieve Central. While Central Jersey College Prep didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating College Achieve Central 18-6 in the first quarter.

Several Central Jersey College Prep players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ranveer Singh, who went 5 for 8 en route to 13 points. Those 13 points gave Singh a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Chouloute, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Central Jersey College Prep has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for College Achieve Central, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Central Jersey College Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against STEMCivics at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for College Achieve Central, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Somerville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
