Baseball Recap: Steinbrenner Drops Season-High Score on Spoto

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Steinbrenner). They put the hurt on the Spoto Spartans with a sharp 19-2 victory on Thursday. With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 7.6 runs per game.

Landen Boever looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Nick Osborne was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Dylan Kolsen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.
